2019 Propulsion Experiments

I have not posted since May of 2017, when I was experimenting with hybrid rocket engines and hydrogen peroxide reaction engines. As of December 19th 2018 I picked back up in my propulsion experiments beginning with APCP propellant manufacturing and testing in PVC casings which resulted in a month or so of explosions. Here is a nice compilation: VIDEO (APCP Mixing formula) It became apparent that APCP was way too powerful for PVC to contain the extreme chamber pressure. I then made a decision to abandon APCP for the time being because I wanted to run experiments that were lower on the scale of time and financial expense that would be required to manufacture threaded aluminum rocket motor casings and opted instead to go another route. I really liked PVC because it's readily available, which means I could run a lot of tests without the expense and downtime of another casing like cardboard or aluminum.
